Minimum Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). In case of delays longer than 1 hour, an extra rental day will be charged.
Cancellation policy
The customer can cancel the reservation up to 48 hours before the pick-up time free of charge. If you cancel between 48h and 24h before the pick-up time, the first three days of the reservation will be charged. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the entire reservation will be charged
Driving License
It is mandatory to present a valid driving license in Portugal.
Minimum Age
21 years old, with a minimum driving experience of 2 years. Between 18 and 21 years old, you can rent a car subject to the obligation to take out SCDW insurance.
Fuel
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel that they had on the delivery date. The missing fuel will be charged to the customer plus a penalty.
Prices include
VAT, mandatory liability insurance, maintenance, 24-hour roadside assistance, CDW.
Prices do not include
Parking expenses, fines, fuel, lost documents, tires, windows and keys. Minimum deductible SCDW – €100.00
The customer will always be responsible for all damages caused to third parties or to the rented vehicle whenever it:
– Be driven by a person who is not legally licensed or authorized by Vanscape Rentals – Suffers damage caused intentionally by the customer, negligence and/or misuse.
– Be driven by a person under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or suffering from insanity.
– Be used in sports events, rallies, challenges, contests, etc.
– You have an accident, and it is not reported to Vanscape Rentals as soon as possible. – Suffer acts of vandalism such as broken glass, blown tires or damaged rims.
The lack of communication or late communication constitutes for the customer the obligation to indemnify Vanscape Rentals for all expenses resulting therefrom.
The customer is responsible for all road code violations committed.
WARNINGs
In case of an accident, call the authorities (112).
Call an ambulance if there are any injuries.
Contact Vanscape Rentals (if you do not, you are responsible for all damage to the vehicle) Obtain from the other drivers involved:
– Name, address and telephone number
– Driver’s license number, date and place of issue – Make, model and registration of other vehicles – Insurance policy and insurance company
NON-MEMBERS COMPANY
In the event of a dispute, the consumer may resort to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Entity: Consumer Dispute Arbitration Center of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (CACCRAM)
